Do you like fantasy? Do you like science fiction? Do you like steampunk? If you said yes then that’s great, becoming I have new releases coming soon in all those genres.
First up is ‘Silence on Second Street’, a science fiction detective story. Foul mouthed detective Holden Flynn is a policeman on the rocks. His marriage has fallen apart, and now he’s the only detective in occupied Greykirk, a city scarred by interplanetary war. Trusted by no-one, supported by no-one, Flynn is faced with the tangled loyalties of an occupied planet and the broken technology of a shattered city. Everyone knows who killed Annie Talbot, but can Holden Flynn work out why, and catch the man responsible before another tragedy takes place?
For fantasy fans there’s ‘Demons and the Deep’, another short story. An apprentice magician on a Mediterranean pirate galley, Saul is learning the art of controlling demons. Pursued by the armies of Rome, his shipmates fight to retain their freedom, while Saul struggles with oppression at the hands of his master. When even demons are bound in chains, can a young man make himself truly free?
And finally, for the steampunk fans, the third novella in the Epiphany Club series, Aristocrats and Artillery, is on its way. Adventurer Dirk Dynamo is back in Paris, in pursuit of the final clue to the location of the lost Great Library. But Paris is a city at war, with Prussian troops closing in from the east and the King Under Paris preparing to rise up in revolt. As violence reaches the city streets, can Dirk retrieve the last tablet, or will the path to the Great Library fall into the hands of a criminal mastermind?
Both ‘Silence on Second Street’ and ‘Demons and the Deep’ will be stand-alone short stories, free on all e-reader platforms, and will be out in the next weeks. Aristocrats and Artillery is at the editing stage, and will be out by the end of September. In the meantime, the previous two Epiphany Club books, Guns and Guano and Suits and Sewers are available now in all good ebook stores.
More updates to come as the books are ready. Exciting times ahead!
